closer to Mother Nature

Wassup two-legged creatures!!
Summer's coming to an end, I feel so heavy-hearted.
This is my first time spending summer in Melbourne, for the past few years I've been able to escape the heat by going to Malaysia for a good 2-3 months, which is also when the best-est memories of the year are created ^.^ I took a summer subject this year so I had to come back early for it. This is why I missed CNY damn it!

If you think Malaysia is hot (well, it is), wait till you experience Melbourne's crazy weather. It can be scorching hot one moment (as in 40 degrees blardy cow), and pouring heavily in the next. Just like what happened on the day of my summer exam- before I entered the exam hall, it was so hot that the bench I was sitting on was burning my ass. But the minute I finish my exam, it was already pouring heavily outside. We had umbrellas but were still drenched... until the security guard also laugh at us, until had to go toilet to dry our clothes using hand dryer...and the awkwardness when some chick walked in on us.
Checking the weather forecast before I leave home is like a daily routine but useless at times because the weather's just too unpredictable. Nonetheless, I must say the weather has been surprisingly kind on us this summer apart from the last four days..... I think the weather also has PMS =.=

Well, Im gonna post some photos from my outings this summer.

bits and pieces

As I was looking through my phone just now, I found quite a few pictures that reminds me of Ashley's visit to Melbourne last year during Nov-Dec. We went to look for good food, to St. Kilda beach to watch penguins, to sleep over at my place for the suburb experience etc. I wanted to upload photos ages ago, however some of the photos were taken using my phone and somehow I had problems transferring them to my laptop at that time. I tried like so many times but still failed, and I got annoyed with my phone and decided not to care about it until today. I like to upload photos on my blog, even though its from aaaaages ago, just to keep another copy of it in case I lose the original copy I have, so that I can look through them from time to time, and reminisce about the good old days. Sometimes, it kept me thinking "so this is what i did this time last year" or "I wish I can go there again". Nostalgia hits me hard, I know lolol. One day I might lose my phone *touch wood* but at least I know I still have my precious here :)

We went to lindt chocolate cafe on Collins St.
Sorry for the some of the poor quality pictures, cuz they were taken using my phone

iced mocha if im not wrong

I recommended Hopetoun Tea House haha.
This place is just too good, whether its the interior design or the food, thumbs up for both.
I've been there a couple of times, my last visit was very recent. I blogged about their berry crumbles on 31st of January, that wasnt my very last visit though, which I had lemon, lime and pear tart, creme brulee, and raspberry pistachio cheesecake.
Took some photos using friend's camera, so I dont have them :(
This one above is their lime tart.

And this, is their vanila slice.
I've tried almost all their cakes already, lolol.
My goal is to try them all, gimme time for another visit or two and I'll reach my goal.

anyong Jun Jing.
We also took Ashley to try the famous Andrew's burger,
apparently the best in Melbourne.
I heard of it a long time ago, but Im not a burger person, so that was my first time trying it too.
tbh, my burger that day was pretty dry, and I had great experiences with grill'd burgers,
so I prefer grill'd's. But thats just my personal opinion.
I know many who prefers Andrew's, like our friend above. lolol

Appear on papers somemore so has to be good la right?

imy Ashley.
come again will ya?

yeh, we were at St. Kilda's beach.
to watch penguins, hahahaha.
Save time going all the way to Phillip Island, here also can watch ;p

 why hello there

they are pretty shy,
more like frightened by humans.
They must be wondering why is everyone gathering around just to see them.

 夕陽無限好, 只是近黃昏

why the hell do you come for dim sum then?
I do eat others though, but it has to be the special/deluxe type.
So sick of har gow siew mai.
Im weird like that

Also took Ashley to this must-try French creperie, Roule Galette.
We ordered three different crepes to share,
two sweet and one savoury

omg... this... this, you can not try others, but you cannot miss this.
Ever since I had this for the first time,
I must have it every single time I go there, someone in my table has to order it.

Then we went to visit Monash Clayton.

 Then to Chaddy mall

thats almost all for photos I have for Ashley's visit.

I also have some random photos in phone,
